Graphical Lab: Open every Thursdays!

Het Grafisch Lab is een work­shop- en ini­ti­a­tie­plat­form gespe­ci­a­li­seerd in print en foto­gra­fie. Het Lab wordt gerund door kun­ste­naars en vrij­wil­li­gers die gepas­si­o­neerd zijn over het delen van hun ken­nis en vaar­dig­he­den, en is toe­gan­ke­lijk voor ieder­een die geïn­te­res­seerd is.

Het Lab is uit­ge­rust met een ana­lo­ge don­ke­re kamer voor foto­gra­fie, ver­gro­ters, twee Riso-prin­ters, een gro­te druk­pers, een foto­stu­dio met meer­de­re came­ra’s en zeefdrukmaterialen.

Er zijn drie soor­ten acti­vi­tei­ten in het Lab:

• Open Lab Avonden: elke don­der­dag­avond van 18:00 tot 22:00 uur is het Lab zon­der reser­ve­ring open voor ieder­een om ken­nis te maken met de ruim­te en de gereedschappen;

• Initiaties vin­den ook plaats op don­der­dag­avond en behan­de­len spe­ci­fie­ke druk­tech­nie­ken, waar­door je ver­schil­len­de vaar­dig­he­den kunt ontdekken;
  
  
• Masterclasses: Voor wie die­per wil ingaan op spe­ci­fie­ke media of the­ma’s gere­la­teerd aan foto­gra­fie en prin­ten, biedt het Lab mas­ter­clas­ses aan, gege­ven door erva­ren kun­ste­naars tegen een betaal­ba­re prijs.

Na het vol­tooi­en van een intro­duc­tie of mas­ter­class zijn deel­ne­mers wel­kom om de appa­ra­tuur zelf­stan­dig te gebrui­ken. Het is ook moge­lijk om de werk­plaats voor een dag of lan­ger te huren voor gro­te­re artis­tie­ke pro­jec­ten of team­buil­ding. Bezoek onze web­si­te voor het vol­le­di­ge programma.

The Graphical Lab is a work­shop and ini­ti­a­ti­on plat­form spe­ci­a­li­sed in print and pho­to­grap­hy. The Lab is run by artists and volun­teers who are pas­si­o­na­te about sha­ring their know­led­ge and skills, and is acces­si­ble to any­o­ne interested. 

The Lab is equip­ped with an ana­lo­gue pho­to­grap­hy dar­kroom, enlar­gers, two Riso prin­ters, a lar­ge prin­ting press, a pho­to stu­dio with mul­ti­ple came­ras, and screen prin­ting material.

There are three types of acti­vi­ties at the Lab: 

• Open Lab Evenings: eve­ry Thursday eve­ning from 18:00 to 22:00, the Lab is open to eve­ry­o­ne, wit­hout reser­va­ti­on, to get intro­du­ced to the spa­ce and its tools; 

• Initiations also take pla­ce on Thursday eve­ning and cover spe­ci­fic prin­ting tech­ni­ques, allo­wing you to dis­co­ver dif­fe­rent skills;

• Masterclasses: For tho­se who want to dive dee­per into spe­ci­fic media, or the­mes rela­ted to pho­to­grap­hy and prin­ting, the Lab offers mas­ter­clas­ses led by expe­rien­ced artists at an affor­da­ble price.

After com­ple­ting an ini­ti­a­ti­on or a mas­ter­class, par­ti­ci­pants are wel­co­me to use the equip­ment inde­pen­dent­ly. It is also pos­si­ble to rent the work­shop for a day or more for big­ger artis­tic pro­jects or team buil­ding. Visit our web­si­te for the com­ple­te programme.
