Studio maakleerplek staat voor de vier kunstenaarsateliers op de site van maakleerplek. Maakleerplek huisvest ook het Grafisch Lab, een gezamenlijk initiatief met Cas-co dat in 2025 van start ging.
maakleerplek geeft invulling aan de Molens Van Orshoven, een oude industriële site gelegen aan de Vaartkom. In maakleerplek krijgt iedereen die dit wil de tijd en ruimte om te zoeken naar antwoorden op diverse maatschappelijke, sociale, economische, ecologische en culturele uitdagingen van vandaag én morgen. Cas-co schrijft zich volledig in in de filosofie van maakleerplek, vanuit de overtuiging dat kunstenaars actief bijdragen aan het analyseren, visualiseren en realiseren van duurzame toekomstbeelden. Vier ateliers worden ter beschikking gesteld aan kunstenaars die aansluiting vinden bij het verhaal van maakleerplek. Daarnaast stellen Cas-co en maakleerplek hun ruimte(s) — wanneer mogelijk — ter beschikking om tijdelijke artistieke projecten mogelijk te maken, gaande van lokaal breed creatief werk, tot kunsteducatieve projecten.
Tot slot runt Cas-co sinds 2025 op maakleerplek het grafisch lab, een makerslab met de focus op fotografie en print, gerund door kunstenaars en vrijwilligers. Meer info hier.

Studio maakleerplek stands for the four artist studios on the maakleerplek site. Maakleerplek also hosts the Graphical Lab, a joint initiative with Cas-co started in 2025.
maakleerplek gives substance to the Molens Van Orshoven, an old industrial site located on the Vaartkom. At maakleerplek, anyone who wishes is given the time and space to search for answers to diverse societal, social, economic, ecological, and cultural challenges of today and tomorrow. Cas-co fully subscribes to the philosophy of maakleerplek, based on the conviction that artists actively contribute to analyzing, visualizing, and realizing sustainable visions of the future. Four studios are made available to artists who resonate with the narrative of maakleerplek. Additionally, Cas-co and maakleerplek make their space(s) — when possible — available to facilitate temporary artistic projects, ranging from broad local creative work to art education projects.
Finally, since 2025, Cas-co has been running the graphic lab at maakleerplek, a makerspace focusing on photography and print, run by artists and volunteers. More info here.
