p.o.l.e is een inter­dis­ci­pli­nair col­lec­tief dat zich toe­legt op expe­ri­men­teel artis­tiek onder­zoek gesi­tu­eerd op het snij­vlak van per­for­man­ce, beel­den­de kunst en cura­tori­ë­le prak­tijk. De groep, opge­richt in 2024 door Matilde Bassetti, Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust, Marcos Nacar en Mallaury Scala, is werk­zaam in België, Duitsland en Frankrijk. Ze cre­ë­ren tij­de­lij­ke labo­ra­to­ria tij­dens resi­den­ties, waar mate­ri­ë­le expe­ri­men­ten en artis­tie­ke metho­do­lo­gie­ën col­lec­tief kun­nen wor­den getest en ver­vol­gens met een publiek wor­den gedeeld. Hier wordt onder­zoek opge­voerd, archie­ven ten­toon­ge­steld en per­formt de groep haar eigen werk­pro­ces. Het publiek wordt uit­ge­no­digd om in de onder­zoeks­ruim­te zowel pogin­gen als mis­luk­kin­gen te erva­ren en zo de idee­ën te ont­dek­ken die uit het onder­zoek van elk groeps­lid voortkomen.

p.o.l.e is an inter­dis­ci­pli­na­ry col­lec­ti­ve dedi­ca­ted to expe­ri­men­tal artis­tic research at the inter­sec­ti­on of per­for­man­ce, visu­al arts, and cura­to­ri­al prac­ti­ce. Founded in 2024 by Matilde Bassetti, Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust, Marcos Nacar and Mallaury Scala, the group ope­ra­tes bet­ween Belgium, Germany, and France. They cre­a­te tem­po­ra­ry labo­ra­to­ries during resi­den­cies, whe­re mate­ri­al expe­ri­ments and artis­tic metho­do­lo­gies can be tested col­lec­ti­ve­ly and then sha­red with an audien­ce. Here, research is sta­ged, archi­ves are exhi­bi­ted, and the group per­forms its own wor­king pro­cess. The public is always invi­ted to encoun­ter both attempts and fai­lu­res within the research spa­ce itself, dis­co­ve­ring the ide­as that emer­ge from each member’s investigations.
