Als curator en onderzoeker werkt Astrid Goubert op het snijpunt van hedendaagse kunst, erfgoed, geschiedenis en publieke ruimte. Met een focus op site specifieke kunstopdrachten realiseerde ze afgelopen jaren samen met burgers en kunstenaars (permanente) kunstinstallaties. In het verleden deed Astrid ervaring op bij Gladstone Gallery, STUK in Leuven, Contour Mechelen en Nino Mier Gallery in Brussel. Ze werkte als assistent curator en curator moderne en hedendaagse kunst bij het Kunstmuseum (voorheen Gemeentemuseum) Den Haag. Momenteel werkt ze als curator/bemiddelaar voor de Nieuwe opdrachtgevers en is ze praktijkassistent Erfgoed en Museumstudies aan de Universiteit van Gent.

Astrid Goubert is an art historian, curator and researcher working at the intersection of contemporary art, heritage, memory and public space. With a focus on site-specific art commissions, she has collaborated with citizens and artists to realize (permanent) art installations across different contexts. Astrid previously gained experience at Gladstone Gallery, STUK – House for dance, music and image, CONTOUR Mechelen and Nino Mier Gallery. She has held roles as assistant curator and curator modern and contemporary art at Kunstmuseum (previously Gemeentemuseum) The Hague. She currently works as curator/mediator for de Nieuwe opdrachtgevers and is Teaching Assistant Heritage and Art Policy and Museum studies at Ghent University.
