Charles Rouleau
Charles Rouleau is a curator & coordinator at Casino Display in Luxembourg, a platform that supports emerging visual artists through residencies and research trajectories.
ABOUT
Charles Rouleau is the coordinator of Casino Display, the research and residency satellite of Casino Luxembourg, where he runs residency programs, engaging in close dialogue with artists throughout their research and conceptual work. His curatorial practice examines collective thinking as an artistic research method and how personal and local narratives intertwine with wider social, cultural, and ecological contexts.
He developed a European post-master’s program in collaboration with HEAR, La Cambre, KABK, and ENSAD Nancy, conceived as a laboratory for experimentation and artistic/curatorial research. Charles Rouleau also created international residency programs with partners in Canada and Taiwan. Alongside his professional activities, he is pursuing a doctoral thesis in artistic research at the University of Amsterdam, exploring the concept of the littoral as an ecocritical sound milieu.
