Voor de ope­ning van het Queer Arts fes­ti­val Leuven gaan we terug naar de wor­tels van pri­de. We mar­sen voor zicht­baar­heid, erken­ning, accep­ta­tie. De tij­den ver­an­de­ren weer en we moe­ten ieder­een laten zien dat we er nog steeds zijn, nog steeds over­eind blij­ven, nog steeds vech­ten. Geen gro­te wagens, geen groot feest, gewoon wij die door Leuven marsen.


𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞 en 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚 

  • Kom naar het sta­ti­on om 18u30 om mee te wandelen/​strutten/​lopen/​dansen. Doe je kleur­rijk­ste, bes­te kle­ren aan en mars mee. Famba leidt de weg tot aan Cas-co. 
  • Om 20u ver­wel­ko­men we fes­ti­val­co­ör­di­na­tor Georgy Gorgeous, stad Leuven ver­te­gen­woor­di­gers van diver­si­teit Lies Corneillie & cul­tuur Bert Corniellie voor een kor­te toe­spraak. Daarnaast geven we ruim­te aan twee inspi­re­ren­de leden van de QAL com­mu­ni­ty: Nena & Luka.
  • Na de spee­ches ver­wel­ko­men we Brenda Aerts voor een opzwe­pend optre­den & drin­ken we een drankje. 
  • We slui­ten af rond 22.30u. Weet je niet wat te doen? Ga nog een drank­je doen in het regen­boog­huis of gooi je dans­be­nen los in Stelplaats voor een een­daag­se clubervaring.




For the ope­ning of the Queer Arts fes­ti­val Leuven we go back to the roots of pri­de. We march for visi­bi­li­ty, recog­ni­ti­on, accep­tan­ce. Times are chan­ging again and we have to show eve­ry­o­ne that we are still here, still stan­ding, still figh­ting. No big flo­ats, no big par­ty, just us mar­ching through Leuven.


𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞 and 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦

  • Meet us at the sta­ti­on of Leuven at 18.30 to start our pri­de walk/​run/​skiddle/​tumble together. Dress your best, take eve­ry­thing you have fea­tu­ring bright colours & march with us, Famba will beat our hearts to the boom boom drum, all the way to Cas-co.
  • At 20h we wel­co­me Queer Arts fes­ti­val coo­r­di­na­tor Georgy, city of Leuven repre­sen­ta­ti­ves of diver­si­ty Lies Corneillie & cul­tu­re Bert Cornillie for a short speech. Additionally, we give spa­ce for two inspi­ring QAL mem­bers of the com­mu­ni­ty: Nena & Luka.
  • After the spee­ches we wel­co­me Brenda Aerts for an elec­tri­fying per­for­man­ce & we have a drink. 
  • We clo­se off around 22.30h. Don’t know what to do? Go have ano­ther drink Unique Rainbow House. Party vibes? Head over to Stelplaats for a one-day only club experience.
