Kunsthistorica en onaf­han­ke­lijk cura­tor Sophie Delhasse begon haar car­ri­è­re in Parijs, waar ze samen­werk­te met ver­schil­len­de Franse en inter­na­ti­o­na­le cura­to­ren, waar­on­der Chantal Pontbriand, Florencia Chernajovsky, Xavier Franceschi, Maelle Dault, Daniele Balit en Domenico de Chirico. Na gewerkt te heb­ben bij de Eva Meyer Gallery, waar ze het artis­tie­ke pro­gram­ma ont­wik­kel­de, en ver­vol­gens bij de Mor Charpentier Gallery, waar ze samen­werk­te met meer dan twin­tig inter­na­ti­o­na­le kun­ste­naars, breid­de Sophie Delhasse haar prak­tijk uit naar de podi­um­kun­sten en werk­te ze enke­le maan­den samen met het gezel­schap van cho­re­o­graaf Oliver Dubois.

Sinds 2019 ont­wik­kelt ze haar prak­tijk als onaf­han­ke­lijk cura­tor en werkt ze samen met de ver­e­ni­ging Mouvements Sans Titre voor de ten­toon­stel­lin­gen van Art au Centre. Daarnaast ont­wik­kelt ze een reeks onaf­han­ke­lij­ke pro­jec­ten.
Tussen 2023 en 2025 ont­stond een cyclus van drie cura­to­ri­a­le pro­jec­ten: de groeps­ten­toon­stel­ling Banqueroute, een per­for­man­ce­pro­gram­ma in de open­ba­re ruim­te geti­teld Performing Landscapes en het pro­gram­ma Address. In 2024 werd ze ook uit­ge­no­digd om deel uit te maken van het artis­tie­ke team van de 13e edi­tie van BIP (Biennial of Possible Image) in Luik.

In haar prak­tijk stelt Sophie Delhasse de insti­tu­ti­o­ne­le kaders rond de cre­a­tie van beel­den­de kunst ter dis­cus­sie en is ze geïn­te­res­seerd in reflec­ties over col­lec­tie­ve artis­tie­ke prak­tij­ken, alter­na­tie­ve ken­nis­de­ling, op onder­zoek geba­seer­de prak­tij­ken en ter­ri­to­ri­a­le verankering.

Naast haar car­ri­è­re als cura­tor schrijft ze voor ver­schil­len­de Franstalige kunst­tijd­schrif­ten en werkt ze samen met ver­schil­len­de the­a­ter­fes­ti­vals (Festival Antipodes la FAA, Frankrijk; oprich­ting van het Festival Caravansérail, Luik).

Sinds 2025 geeft Sophie Delhasse les in kunst­ge­schie­de­nis en esthe­ti­ca aan de Académie des Beaux-Arts de Liège ESAHR in Luik.

Art his­to­ri­an and inde­pen­dent cura­tor Sophie Delhasse began her career in Paris, whe­re she col­la­bo­ra­ted with seve­r­al French and inter­na­ti­o­nal cura­tors, inclu­ding Chantal Pontbriand, Florencia Chernajovsky, Xavier Franceschi, Maelle Dault, Daniele Balit, and Domenico de Chirico. After wor­king at the Eva Meyer Gallery, whe­re she devel­o­ped the artis­tic pro­gram­me, and then at the Mor Charpentier Gallery, whe­re she col­la­bo­ra­ted with more than twen­ty inter­na­ti­o­nal artists, Sophie Delhasse expand­ed her prac­ti­ce to the per­for­ming arts, joi­ning cho­re­o­grap­her Oliver Dubois’ com­pa­ny for seve­r­al months.

Since 2019, she has been devel­o­ping her prac­ti­ce as an inde­pen­dent cura­tor and col­la­bo­ra­ting with the asso­ci­a­ti­on Mouvements Sans Titre for the Art au Centre exhi­bi­ti­ons, as well as devel­o­ping a series of inde­pen­dent pro­jects.
Between 2023 and 2025, a cycle of three cura­to­ri­al pro­jects emer­ged: the group exhi­bi­ti­on Banqueroute; a per­for­man­ce pro­gram­me in the public spa­ce Performing Landscapes and the pro­gram­me Address. In 2024, she was also invi­ted to join the artis­tic team of the 13th edi­ti­on of BIP (Biennial of Possible Image) in Liège.

In her prac­ti­ce Sophie Delhasse ques­ti­ons the insti­tu­ti­o­nal sys­tems that fra­me visu­al arts cre­a­ti­on and is inte­rested in reflec­ti­ons on col­lec­ti­ve artis­tic prac­ti­ces, alter­na­ti­ve know­led­ge sha­ring, research-based prac­ti­ces, and ter­ri­to­ri­al anchoring. 

In paral­lel with her cura­to­ri­al career, she wri­tes for seve­r­al French-lan­gu­a­ge art maga­zi­nes and col­la­bo­ra­tes with seve­r­al the­a­tre arts fes­ti­vals (Festival Antipodes la FAA, France; cre­a­ti­on of the Festival Caravansérail, Liège).

Since 2025, Sophie Delhasse has been tea­ching art his­to­ry and aes­the­tics at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Liège ESAHR in Liège.
