For this edi­ti­on of Hotel Carrousel, we are step­ping away from our usu­al col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with three artists and instead opting for one powerful, all-encom­pas­sing instal­la­ti­on. This time, the wild sum­mer gar­den of Het Bos is not just the set­ting, it’s the inspi­ra­ti­on behind this excep­ti­o­nal choi­ce. The loca­ti­on calls for a work that explo­res the boun­da­ries bet­ween natu­re and ima­gi­na­ti­on, bet­ween life and decay, a mood we found effort­les­sly reflec­ted in Léa Mainguy’s enchan­ting installation.

‘Mr Trombones & blos­so­ming tales’ is not an instal­la­ti­on in the tra­di­ti­o­nal sen­se. It is an immersi­ve nar­ra­ti­ve that gui­des visi­tors into an in-bet­ween world: melan­cho­lic, absurd, and won­der­ful­ly stran­ge. The per­fect expe­rien­ce for a sul­try sum­mer Museum Night.
