Time flies 2

The book compiles photographs of airport-archetypes across transit spaces between Belgium and Norway. While visiting each other regularly as friends, the thematic overlap became increasingly apparent. Spaces of shiny grid-like surfaces, artificial light, universal iconography that clash with images of distant destinations and widening windows facing tarmac. Within these generic interiors, seemingly detached from identity, time, climate, and human scale, a strangely recognisable atmosphere emerges, one uniquely tied to the experience of being a passenger.”

The book and exhibition feature photography by Wietse Thomas & Jente Waerzeggers, spatial design & text by Quinten Malfait and graphic design by Emile De Geyndt.
