Bienvenue - 'Tonight: things don't make sense'

Anastasia Hadjipapa-McCammon, Francesca Hawker and Lucian Moriyama form the col­lec­ti­ve Bienvenue. Their per­for­man­ces and instal­la­ti­ons play­ful­ly explo­re the ultra-mun­da­ne through ampli­fied appli­an­ces, sub­ver­ted games of chan­ce, haun­ted music, and con­spi­ra­to­ri­al per­for­man­ces. During their resi­d­en­cy they approp­ri­a­ted the codes and objects of the offi­ce and the bar, devel­o­ping an instal­la­ti­on and loun­­ge-caba­ret performance.

Hun per­for­man­ces en instal­la­ties onder­zoe­ken op speel­se wij­ze het ultra­mon­dai­ne — aan de hand van ver­sterk­te toe­stel­len, ver­draai­de kans­spe­len, spook­ach­ti­ge muziek en samen­zweer­de­ri­ge per­for­man­ces. Tijdens hun resi­den­tie eigen­den ze zich de codes en objec­ten toe van het kan­toor en de bar, en ont­wik­kel­den ze een instal­la­tie en lounge-cabaretperformance.
