Tine is toe­ge­wijd aan artis­tie­ke ont­wik­ke­ling als een pro­ces dat gewor­teld is in onder­lin­ge ver­bon­den­heid. Vanuit deze denk­wij­ze is de Sad Artist Department (SAD) ont­staan. SAD biedt een geën­sce­neer­de tij­de­lijk­heid die een fic­tie­ve steun­groep voor kun­ste­naars en cre­a­tie­ve makers ver­za­melt. Vanuit SAD wordt er gepraat, uit­ge­wis­seld en gevierd. Het par­ti­ci­pa­tie­ve werk is niet ​‘gewoon doen als­of’. SAD vormt een ruim­te waar we col­lec­tief oefe­nen in zorg­zaam­heid en gene­ro­si­teit. De nieuw­ste bij­een­komst van SAD, No Doors on Their Mouths, vindt plaats bij Cas-co en zijn bre­de­re net­werk. Het pro­ject duikt in de mar­ges van het in stand hou­den van een artis­tie­ke prak­tijk. Emoties als teleur­stel­ling, onze­ker­heid en ver­lies — die onder­be­licht blij­ven bin­nen de pre­sen­ta­tie gerich­te dyna­mie­ken van het kun­sten­veld — komen samen in een heden­daag­se ele­gie, die vorm krijgt in een inter­ac­tie­ve sce­no­gra­fie en een geluidswerk.

Tine is com­mit­ted to artis­tic devel­op­ment as a pro­cess root­ed in inter­con­nec­ted­ness. From this mind­set, the Sad Artist Department (SAD) was born. SAD offers a sta­ged tem­po­ra­li­ty that gathers a fic­ti­o­nal sup­port group for artists and cre­a­ti­ve makers. From SAD, the­re is talk, exchan­ge and cele­bra­ti­on. The par­ti­ci­pa­to­ry work is not ​‘just pre­ten­ding’. SAD forms a spa­ce whe­re we col­lec­ti­ve­ly prac­ti­ce caring and gene­ro­si­ty. The latest gathering of SAD, No Doors on Their Mouths, takes pla­ce at Cas-co and its wider net­work. The pro­ject del­ves into the margins of sustai­ning an artis­tic prac­ti­ce. Emotions such as dis­ap­point­ment, uncer­tain­ty and loss — which remain under­ex­po­sed within the pre­sen­ta­ti­on-orien­ted dyna­mics of the arts field — come together in a con­tem­po­ra­ry ele­gy, which takes sha­pe in an inter­ac­ti­ve sce­no­grap­hy and a sound pie­ce.
