SEASON #6 - DEADLINE 30.06.22
Off the, Grid is een artist-run platform waar kunstenaars kunnen experimenteren en presenteren. Elk seizoen krijgt een nieuwe groep van kunstenaars de kans om de ruimte van Off the, Grid toe te eigenen en drie maanden lang te gebruiken als voedingsbodem voor nieuwe ideeën en projecten.
Op dit moment zijn we op zoek naar omvattende programmavoorstellen voor het nieuwe, zesde seizoen, dat van oktober tot en met december 2022 zal lopen. Dit programma kan allerlei vormen aannemen: Off the, Grid verwelkomt tentoonstellingen, festivals, happenings, performances, screenings, evenementen, talks, onderzoeksprojecten, enzovoort. De geselecteerde groep kunstenaars, denkers of makers kan beschikken over ruimte en materiaal, een budget, begeleiding en communicatie-ondersteuning.

Ruimte en materiaal
Off the, Grid bestaat uit een presentatieruimte van 120m² met een veelzijdige scenografie in de centrale ruimte van Cas-co. Desgewenst kunnen de kunstenaars ook andere ruimtes in of buiten Cas-co betrekken. Voor de productie van nieuwe werken kunnen er ook gedeelde werkruimtes ter beschikking gesteld worden. Tot slot voorziet Off the, Grid in presentatiemateriaal en ‑middelen om projecten praktisch en technisch te ondersteunen.
Budget
Elk seizoen heeft een budget van maximaal €7.000 incl. btw dat ingezet kan worden voor de verschillende projecten binnen het programma. Het staat de groep vrij om het basisbudget met andere budgetten aan te vullen.
Begeleiding
De kunstenaars worden van harte verwelkomd in de dynamische omgeving van Cas-co. De centrale contactpersoon binnen de organisatie van Cas-co is projectmedewerker Koi Persyn. Hij maakt de kunstenaars wegwijs in het gebouw en biedt ondersteuning bij het organiseren van publieke momenten. De kunstenaars kunnen daarnaast hun ideeën steeds toetsen en om advies vragen wanneer nodig.
Communicatie
De kunstenaars staan zelf in voor het genereren van content op de sociale media en de website van Cas-co en Off the, Grid. Het interne team zal uiteraard ondersteuning bieden voor de communicatie van alle publieke momenten via de verschillende kanalen.

Giet je ideeën voor seizoen #6 in een voorstel van één tot twee pagina’s en bezorg het ons tot en met 30 juni 2022 via offthegrid@cas-co.be. CV’s en portfolio’s van deelnemende kunstenaars zijn welkome extra info.
Een programma komt tot stand in samenwerking en samenspraak met anderen. Daarom moet het eindresultaat nog niet helemaal vastliggen in het voorstel, maar we verwachten wel een visie als het aankomt op het artistieke concept, de samenwerking, het gebruik van de ruimte, tijd en budget. Vergeet niet dat we zoeken naar een omvattende visie op een volledig seizoen van drie maanden. Een focus op gezamenlijke artistieke ontwikkeling wordt aangemoedigd.

Off the, Grid is an artist-run platform in Cas-co where artists can experiment and present. Each season, a new group of artists is given the opportunity to appropriate the space of Off the, Grid and use it for three months as an incubator for new ideas and projects.
We are currently looking for proposals for the sixth and new seasonal program, which will run from October to December 2022. This program can take many forms: Off the, Grid welcomes exhibitions, festivals, happenings, performances, screenings, events, talks, research projects, and so on.

Space and material
Off the, Grid consists of a 120m² presentation space with a versatile scenography in the central space of Cas-co. If desired, the artists can also occupy other spaces in or outside Cas-co. Shared workspaces can also be made available for the production of new works. Finally, Off the, Grid will provide presentation materials and resources to support projects practically and technically.
Budget
Each season has a budget of up to €7,000 incl. VAT that can be used for the various projects within the programme. The group is free to supplement the basic budget with other budgets.
Accompaniment
The artists will be warmly welcomed into Cas-co’s dynamic environment. The central contact person within the Cas-co organisation is project officer Koi Persyn. He will show the artists around the building and offer support in organising public moments. In addition, the artists can always test their ideas and ask for advice when necessary.
Communication
The artists themselves are responsible for generating content on the social media and the website of Cas-co and Off the, Grid. The internal team will of course support the communication of all public moments through the different channels.

Pour your ideas for season #6 in a proposal of one to two pages and send it to us before the end of 30th of June 2022 via offthegrid@cas-co.be. CVs and portfolios of participating artists are welcome additional information.
A program is created in collaboration and consultation with others. That is why the end result must not yet be fixed in the proposal, but we do expect a vision when it comes to artistic concept and collaboration, the use of space, time and budget. Don’t forget that we’re looking for an all-encompassing vision on a full, three month season. A focus on collaborative artistic development is encouraged.
