Spring / Lente @ Graflab

Het grafisch lab is een makerslab met de focus op fotografie en print in maakleerplek, gerund door kunstenaars en vrijwilligers. Het lab beschikt over: een donkere kamer (in aanbouw), vergroters, twee riso printers, een zeefdruk, een drukpers, een foto studio en een aantal camera’s. Je kan er terecht tijdens het publieke programma met een wekelijkse‘open lab’, tweewekelijkse workshops en occasionale‘masterclasses’. Hieronder vind je een overzicht van de verschillende activiteiten in de lente van 2025. Het grafisch lab is mede mogelijk gemaakt door de ondersteuning van de Nationale Loterij en het Leuvens Leerecosysteem (WSE Europa).
Open labs
Het open lab vindt elke donderdag van 18u00 tot 21u30 plaats en is voor iedereen vrij toegankelijk. Er is op dit moment steeds een atelierbegeleider — een kunstenaar — aanwezig, die mensen met vragen en ideeën verder helpt, en hen ondersteunt om vervolgens autonoom aan de slag te gaan.
Initiaties
De tweewekelijkse initiaties in riso, zeefdruk en de ontwikkeling van analoge fotografie (35 euro per sessie) dienen om gebruikers te leren werken met bepaalde technieken en machines. Wanneer iemand het initiatietraject heeft doorlopen heeft, kan deze op eigen tijd aan de slag met de machines.

Masterclasses
Tijdens de masterclasses worden kunstenaars, experts en meesterprinters uitgenodigd om dieper in te gaan op specifieke media, technieken of thema’s binnen het foto-grafische universum. De prijs varieert per masterclass. Meer info & inschrijven hier.

De kosten per masterclass bedragen €15 of €30 om alle drie de masterclasses bij te wonen (die van Hanne Lamon kan geboekt worden via de website van V‑fest). Als dit buiten je budget valt, betaal dan wat je kunt. Drankjes en eten zijn inbegrepen. Inschrijven is verplicht en kan via deze link. Begeleiding & ruimte huren
Naast deze publiek toegankelijke momenten, kan je het lab en/of professionele begeleiding ook huren. Er wordt telkens een onderscheid gemaakt tussen een standaardtarief voor particulieren en de profit sector enerzijds, en een gunstig tarief voor kunstenaars, scholen en non-profits anderzijds. The graphical lab is a maker lab with a focus on photography and print in maakleerplek, run by artists and volunteers. The lab has: a darkroom (under construction), enlargers, two riso printers, a screen printer, a printing press, a photo studio and a number of cameras. You can visit it during the public program with a weekly ‘open lab’, bimonthly initiations and occasional ‘masterclasses’. Below you will find an overview of the various activities in the spring of 2025.
Open labs
The open lab takes place on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM and is freely accessible to everyone. There is currently always a studio supervisor — an artist — present, who helps people with questions and ideas, and supports them to then get started independently.
Initiations
At the graphical lab, we organize bimonthly initiations in riso, screen printing and the development of analogue photography (35 euros per session) serve to teach users to work with certain techniques and machines. Once someone has completed an initiation course (3 initiations) and is esteemed competent in one or more techniques, they can get started with the machines at their own pace.
