Cas-co's Tin Jubilee: Celebrating Ten Years of Cas-community / Tien jaar Cas-community

Cas-co blaast tien kaarsen uit. Blik samen met ons terug op een decennium Cas-co tijdens een groot jubileumfeest op 13 maart. We vatten de avond aan met een ceremonie, gevolgd door een reeks DJ-sets in Off the Grid. In de ruimte worden artistieke interventies uit de brede Cas-community getoond.

Het avondfeest sluit aan bij het dagprogramma ‘UFO Mixers #1: Prints & Puns, Where Artist make a Mark’ (15u00 — 20u00), dat peers samenbrengt rond het topic van print en grafiek en vanuit deze invalshoek nieuwe of relevante praktijken in de kijker zet. UFO. Dit programma is gratis, maar inschrijven is verplicht.
Presentatie
Collective-in-residence Bienvenue: de centrale ruimte van Off the Grid werd ingericht als avondclub door het collective-in-residence Bienvenue. Deze set-up wordt later ingezet als scenografie voor de residentiepresentatie, die opent op 8 mei.
Artist-in-residence Robin Faymonville: kunstenaar Robin Faymonville lanceert zijn nieuwe residentieproject.
Cas-coffer: in Off the Shelves worden riso prints uit de Cas-community gepresenteerd en verkocht. Elke kunstenaars die ooit in Cas-co werkte, werd uitgenodigd om een ontwerp aan te leveren voor de Cas-coffer. Koop een enkele print of stel zelf een doos met je favoriete prints samen en steun zo de community. Een enkele print kost 8 euro, een doos met 5 prints 25 euro en een doos met 10 prints 40 euro.
Vlaggen: op het schoolplein van Brede school Stroom, op 3 minuten wandelen van Cas-co, wappert een nieuwe jubileumvlag ontworpen door Maya Strobbe en Lieselotte Vloeberghs. In Off the Grid wordt een selectie uit het archief van reuzenvlaggen gepresenteerd.

Cas-co blows out ten candles. Join us as we look back on a decade of Cas-co during a big anniversary party on March 13. We kick off the evening with a ceremony, followed by a series of DJ sets in Off the Grid. The space will feature artistic interventions from the broad Cas community.

The evening party follows the day program ‘UFO Mixers #1: Prints & Puns, Where Artist make a Mark’ (15:00 — 20:00), a program that brings together peers around the topic of print and graphics. This program is free, but spots are limited and registration is required.
Presentation
Collective-in-residence Bienvenue: the central space of Off the Grid was set up as an evening club by the collective Bienvenue. This set-up will later be used as scenography for the residency presentation, which opens on May 8.
Artist-in-residence Robin Faymonville: artist Robin Faymonville launches his new residency project.
Cas-coffer: Off the Shelves presents and sells riso prints from the Cas community. Every artist who has ever worked in Cas-co was invited to submit a design for the Cas-coffer. Buy a single print or put together a box of your favorite prints and support the community. A single print costs 8 euros, a box of 5 prints costs 25 euros and a box of 10 prints costs 40 euros.
Flags: on the schoolyard of Brede school Stroom, a 3‑minute walk from Cas-co, a new jubilee flag designed by Maya Strobbe and Lieselotte Vloeberghs is on view. In Off the Grid, a selection from the archive of giant flags is presented.
