On May 16, Cas-co will welcome curator and architect Bruno Alves De Almeida for a lunch lecture and studio visits. Bruno is currently working as curator and resident liaison at the Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, Netherlands. Recently, he was the Artistic Director and co-curator of the Luleå Biennial 2024. His practice is rooted in site-specificity and responsiveness to the socio-spatial dynamics of each location, resulting in projects that extend beyond traditional exhibition spaces into public and liminal areas. These projects interweave art, architecture, urban theory, and the social and natural sciences, engaging both specialized and general audiences while creating platforms for the discussion of pressing topics.During the lecture at 12 noon, he will delve deeper into his practice and the operation of Lichtekooi. Bruno werkt momenteel als curator en resident liaison aan de Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, Nederland. Onlangs was hij artistiek directeur en co-curator van de Luleå Biënnale 2024. Zijn praktijk is geworteld in site-specificiteit en responsiviteit op de sociaal-ruimtelijke dynamiek van elke locatie, wat resulteert in projecten die verder reiken dan traditionele tentoonstellingsruimtes naar openbare en liminale gebieden.
