Ga mee in het woor­de­lo­ze ver­haal van een let­ter­lij­ke en figuur­lij­ke hoek­steen van onze samen­le­ving: de bak­steen. Samuel plaatst zijn eigen lichaam tegen­over tien­tal­len kilo’s snel­bouw­steen. Hij jong­leert, danst en maakt live sculpturen.

Als jon­ge der­ti­ger is artiest Samuel Bey niet immuun voor soci­a­le druk en de steeds moei­lij­ker in te los­sen ver­wach­ting om een eigen huis te bezit­ten of te (ver)bouwen.

BRICK gaat in pre­mi­è­re in okto­ber 2023.

Enter the word­less sto­ry of a lite­ral and figu­ra­ti­ve cor­nersto­ne of our soci­e­ty: the brick. Samuel jux­ta­po­ses his own body with dozens of kilo­grams of quick-build brick. He jug­gles, dan­ces and makes live sculp­tu­res.

While being in his thir­ties, artist Samuel Bey is not immu­ne to soci­al pres­su­re and the incre­a­sin­gly dif­fi­cult-to-ful­fil expecta­ti­ons of owning or (re)building his own home.
