New Year's Resolutions: Niels Poiz + Every Island + Cédric Urbanski

Op 12 januari organiseren M Leuven en Cas-co een feestelijk evenement om het nieuwe jaar in te luiden. Na een performance van Niels Poiz in M, vertrekken we om 20:00 samen naar Cas-co . Hier kan je de presentaties van Cas-co residenten Every Island en Cédric Urbanski bezoeken onder het genot van een hapje en een drankje, geserveerd vanuit de nieuwe keuken van Matthijs van der Burgt.
Performance Niels Poiz — M Leuven
M‑Resident Niels Poiz brengt de eerste van twee performances, volledig in teken van zijn langdurig onderzoek naar identiteit, zelfontwikkeling en coming of age-thematiek. Door het vertalen van zijn persoonlijke zoektocht naar de fysieke ruimte, tracht Poiz de hedendaagse mechanismen van onze cultuur bloot te leggen. De performances vormen niet het eindpunt van zijn onderzoek, maar functioneren als momentum waarop hij zichzelf als performer uitdaagt en zijn research voor een publiek ontsluit. Presentaties Cédric Urbanski + Every Island
In Cas-co kan je de presentaties van kunstenaar Cédric Urbanski (°1996, Leuven) en collectief Every Island bezoeken. Na een residentie van drie maanden in de project space van Cas-co, ontwikkelde Urbanski de presentatie ‘Les adultes _______ se lever tôt pour travailler’. Every Island onderzoekt met ‘the Body is the Building is the Body’ systematisch hoe ruimte, onderhoud, zorg en het menselijk lichaam met elkaar verbonden zijn. Op 12 januari kan je verschillende sporen van het onderzoek in de ruimte terugvinden.

Performance Niels Poiz — M Leuven
M‑Resident Niels Poiz brings the first of two performances, entirely dedicated to his long-term research into identity, self-development and coming-of-age themes. By translating his personal quest into physical space, Poiz seeks to expose the contemporary mechanisms of our culture. The performances are not the end point of his research, but function as momentum where he challenges himself as a performer and opens up his research to an audience. Booking required.
Presentations Cédric Urbanski + Every Island
In Cas-co you can visit the presentations of artist Cédric Urbanski (°1996, Leuven) and the collective Every Island. After a three-month residency in Cas-co’s project space, Urbanski developed the presentation ‘Les adultes _______ se lever tôt pour travailler’. With ‘the Body is the Building is the Body’, Every Island systematically investigates how space, maintenance, care and the human body are connected. On January 12, you can find various traces of the research in space.
