A Space whe­re Artists Present / Een ruim­te waar kun­ste­naars presenteren

(Off the) GRID is op zoek naar een artis­tie­ke maker (kun­ste­naar, sce­no­graaf, archi­tect, desig­ner …) of een team/​collectief van makers voor het ont­werp en de rea­li­sa­tie van de sce­no­gra­fie van een bin­nen­ruim­te waar kun­ste­naars het werk en pro­jec­ten van kun­ste­naars zul­len pre­sen­te­ren via een artis­tiek beel­dend pro­gram­ma. Daarvoor lan­ceert Cas-co een oproep voor een pro­ject­voor­stel dat de kern­idee­ën van (Off the) GRID ver­taalt in een inno­va­tie­ve sce­no­gra­fie en rea­li­seer­baar is bin­nen voor­op­ge­stel­de timing en bud­get, met de steun van Cas-co.

(Off the) GRID is een plek voor actie waar artis­tie­ke makers van­af okto­ber 2019 ruim­te en plaats zul­len maken voor ande­re artis­tie­ke makers en pro­jec­ten bin­nen een open, dyna­mi­sche sce­no­gra­fi­sche en pro­gram­ma­to­ri­sche set­ting om al doen­de te reflec­te­ren over beel­den­de kun­sten van­daag. Het is een plek die ruim­te biedt aan een divers en expe­ri­men­teel programma.

De sce­no­gra­fie van deze off-space

• is in de eer­ste plaats functioneel
• het is een pre­sen­ta­tie­plek die een kwa­li­ta­tief kader biedt voor een open en divers beel­dend programma
• is inno­va­tief en inspirerend
• het breekt geken­de toon­mo­del­len open en cre­ëert er nieuwe
• is open en dynamisch
• het is geen whi­te cube, maar een bouw­steen van het presentatieplatform
• is duur­zaam
• het is een kwa­li­ta­tie­ve, ste­vi­ge struc­tuur die mini­mum 3 jaar ver­an­kerd blijft en gebruikt wordt als cen­tra­le plek voor (Off the) GRID
• ver­houdt zich tot de ande­re acti­vi­tei­ten en ruim­tes in Cas-co

A new Off Space for Artists is loo­king for an artist, sce­no­grap­her, archi­tect, desig­ner or a team/​collective for the design and rea­li­sa­ti­on of an exhi­bi­ti­on spa­ce whe­re artists will pre­sent the work and pro­jects of artists via a pro­gram of visu­al arts today. Cas-co is loo­king for a pro­po­sal which trans­la­tes the main ide­as of (Off the) GRID into an inno­va­ti­ve sce­no­grap­hy within the fore­s­een time­li­ne and bud­get, with the sup­port of Cas-co.

(Off the) GRID is a pla­ce for acti­on for artists whe­re, star­ting from October 2019, in Cas-co Leuven (Belgium) artists will make time and spa­ce for artists and their pro­jects within an open and dyna­mic sce­no­grap­hic & pro­gram­ma set­ting. In order to reflect through acti­on about visu­al arts today.

• The sce­no­grap­hy of this off-space:
• is func­ti­o­nal; it is a pre­sen­ta­ti­on plat­form and a fra­me­work for an open and
  hybrid pro­gram
• is inno­va­ti­ve and inspi­ring; it breaks down old models of pre­sen­ta­ti­on and cre­a­tes
  new ones
• is open and dyna­mic; it is not a white-cube
• is dura­ble; it is a strong struc­tu­re that stays in pla­ce for at least 3 years
• it rela­tes to the ran­ge of acti­vi­ties and spa­ces in Cas-co
