On February 15, Cas-co will recei­ve cura­tor Brenda Guesnet (IKOB Eupen) for a lunch lec­tu­re and stu­dio visits. Brenda Guesnet lives in Brussels and works in Eupen and Brussels. During the talk at 12 o’clock, she will talk about her prac­tice in-depth. Afterwards, you can join us for a good con­ver­sa­ti­on and demo­cra­ti­cally pri­ced lunch.

Brenda Guesnet (b. 1993, Bad Soden am Taunus, Germany) is Curator and Deputy Director at IKOB – Museum of Contemporary Art in Eupen, in the German-spea­king com­mu­ni­ty of Belgium sin­ce 2021. At IKOB she has cura­ted solo exhi­bi­ti­ons by Veronika Eberhart, Marcin Dudek, Kristina Benjocki, CMMC, Arthur Cordier, Alexandra Tretter and Helen Anna Flanagan, as well as group exhi­bi­ti­ons All our Yesterdays” and the IKOB – Feminist Art Prize (2022), as well as the event and edu­ca­ti­o­nal pro­gram­mes of the muse­um. Previously, she wor­ked in the Artist Liaison depart­ment at White Cube, London (2017 — 2020) and as Curatorial Assistant at Tenderpixel Gallery (2016 — 17), London, after com­ple­ting an MFA in Curating at Goldsmiths, University of London (2015 — 17). Since 2015, she has also been rea­li­zing inde­pen­dent cura­to­ri­al and wri­ting pro­jects, fre­quent­ly as part of the cura­to­ri­al col­la­bo­ra­ti­on ANGL. She is a co-foun­der of celad­or, a new pro­ject spa­ce in Brussels foun­ded in 2023. Forthcoming exhi­bi­ti­ons in 2024 inclu­de The Fountain Show” at Kunsthal Mechelen and Open M” at M Leuven.
