For (and by) artists: sharing tools for support, development and internationalisation in a sustainable learning network

The Public Program is the public part of the UFO Visitors Program, organized by UFO and Flanders Art Institute.
Exchange ideas with other artists and international guest curators on how artists and artist-oriented organizations can create a practical environment for art practices.
After an introduction in a keynote on Infrastructures of care and support for (and by) artists by Danielle van Zuijlen (Kunsthal Gent, NUCLEO), six international guest curators briefly introduce themselves and explain which formats or instruments they use to support artists in their daily work. support practice.
After this, you can sit around the table with the curators and use examples in smaller groups as needed: What support do you have that you can use to continue and develop your artistic practice? How does the exchange from artist to artist make artistic environment possible? How can artists support organizations play a role in building more lasting relationships around artistic practices? Wissel ideeën en ervaringen uit met andere kunstenaars en internationale gastcuratoren over hoe kunstenaars en kunstenaars-gerichte organisaties een ondersteunende omgeving kunnen creëren voor kunstpraktijken.
Na een aanzet in een keynote over Infrastructures of care and support for (and by) artists door Danielle van Zuijlen (Kunsthal Gent, NUCLEO), stellen zes internationale gastcuratoren zichzelf kort voor en leggen uit welke formats of instrumenten ze gebruiken om kunstenaars in hun dagelijkse praktijk te ondersteunen.

Hoe maakt de uitwisseling van kunstenaar tot kunstenaar jouw artistieke omgeving mogelijk? Hoe kunnen organisaties gericht op de ondersteuning van kunstenaars een rol spelen in het opbouwen van meer duurzame relaties rond artistieke praktijken? Kunnen ondersteunende structuren zich uitstrekken van een lokale tot een internationale schaal?
