Common Dreams School is een nomadische school over de topics klimaat, overleven en samenhorigheid. In tijden van individualisme en afzondering, wil deze workshop juist ons vermogen om samen te handelen stimuleren. Hoe kan je een gemeenschappelijke visie op ‘samenleven’ ontwikkelen in tijden van een klimaatcrisis, beschadigde landschappen en politieke chaos? Tijdens deze sessie experimenteren Maria Lucia Cruz Correia en de deelnemers met het verweven van verschillende dromen, als een alchemisch transformatieproces, om nieuwe vormen van verwantschap en wederkerigheid voor te stellen.
In het artistiek werk van Maria Lucia Cruz Correia komt haar diepe betrokkenheid met ecologische crisissen en klimaatnoodtoestanden duidelijk naar boven. Ze reageert op de milieumisdaden van onze tijd door het publiek te betrekken bij participatieve laboratoria die het artistieke verbinden met de stemmen van wetenschappers, activisten en advocaten.

Common Dreams school is a nomad school focused on climate, survival and togetherness. For WARM ALARM and in response to the burning issues of our times, the workshop offers space and time to explore our capacity to act together and hopefully develop common dreams, survival tools, and modes of kinship. During this session, we will set an intention to experiment and interweave with different dreams, as an alchemic transformative process to imagine new forms of peoples reciprocal and cohabitation with the damaged landscapes and entangled mess we live in.
Maria Lucia Cruz Correia’s cross-sectoral and hybrid practice speaks to her deep engagement with the ecological crises and climate emergency. She reacts to the environmental conflicts of our times by bringing audiences and communities into participatory laboratories that connect the artistic with the voices of scientists, activists and lawyers in long term investigation processes.
