Druk in Leuven at Off the Grid

In het kader van het woord- en boe­ken­fes­ti­val Druk in Leuven gaat Off the Grid (het resi­den­tie- en pre­sen­ta­tie­plat­form van Cas-co) in op de rele­van­tie van deze media bin­nen de heden­daag­se kunst via een drie­daags pro­gram­ma met ten­toon­stel­lin­gen, lezin­gen, per­for­man­ces en voor­drach­ten, gewijd aan het publi­ce­ren als artis­tie­ke prak­tijk. Curator-in-resi­den­ce Alicja Melzacka ont­wik­kelt het pro­gram­ma Back-to-back, dat per­spec­tie­ven biedt op het schrij­ven en publi­ce­ren van kun­ste­naars, ter­wijl de ten­toon­stel­lin­gen van col­lec­tief-in-resi­den­ce Bebe Books en kun­ste­naar-in-resi­den­ce Oya te zien zijn in de aan­gren­zen­de ruim­tes van Off the Grid. Dit pro­ject kwam tot stand als onder­deel van Druk In Leuven, een woord- en beeld­fes­ti­val op ver­schil­len­de loca­ties in de stad.

In the con­text of the word and book fes­ti­val Druk in Leuven, Off the Grid (Cas-co’s resi­d­en­cy and pre­sen­ta­ti­on plat­form) enga­ge with the rele­van­ce of the­se media within con­tem­po­ra­ry art through a three-day pro­gram­me of exhi­bi­ti­ons, talks, per­for­man­ces, and rea­dings, devo­t­ed to publis­hing as artis­tic prac­ti­ce. Curator-in-resi­den­ce Alicja Melzacka devel­ops the pro­gram­me Back-to-back, offe­ring per­spec­ti­ves on artists’ wri­ting and publis­hing, whilst the exhi­bi­ti­ons by col­lec­ti­ve-in-resi­den­ce Bebe Books and artist-in-resi­den­ce Oya are on view in the adja­cent spa­ces of Off the Grid. This pro­ject came about as part of Druk In Leuven, a word and ima­ge fes­ti­val at various loca­ti­ons in the city.
