SEASON #4: OFFSIDE (VROOMM.collectif + Denicolai & Provoost)

VROOMM.collectif

VROOMM.collectif are three young archi­tects from Anderlecht, loo­king for a play­ful way to esca­pe the slow­ness of archi­tec­tu­re. The expe­ri­men­tal alli­an­ce cre­a­tes spa­ce for an int­ui­ti­ve speed. Each inter­ven­ti­on tries to tem­po­ra­ri­ly chan­ge the envi­ron­ment wit­hout lea­ving the lands­ca­pe behind. These small chan­ges inter­act with the spec­ta­tors, the pas­sers-by and the per­for­mers. It is that inter­ac­ti­on that intri­gues and is fur­ther explored.

Denicolai & Provoost: tien taar­ten — ten cakes, 2018 

A uni­ting of local com­mu­ni­ties and pro­fes­si­o­nal pas­try chefs, com­mis­si­o­ned to design com­me­mo­ra­ti­ve cakes in mutu­al agree­ment. Each of the ten pai­rings resul­ted in a cake with the approp­ri­a­te sculp­tu­resque qua­li­ties, infu­sing the remem­bran­ce of things past with the warmth and resi­lien­ce that is pre­ser­ved in old fami­ly recipes.
